Small Successes (Vol 3)

FaithButton

1. I'm officially a smaller size!!!!! Today I bought a new skort and polo shirt both in a smaller size! They fit right off the rack without any creative movement to stretch out the waistband- you know what I'm talking about. How did I get this way....

2. I've been getting up at 6 am and am in the basement working out by 6:20 (that it takes me 20 minutes to get from my bed to the basement should tell you something). I do P90X every day and I’m done by 7:30. The benefit, beside the obvious payoff of exercise itself, is that I have accomplished a major goal of my day before the baby is awake. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m starting to adjust to this new routine, although I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that early hour.

3. Family Rosary (only one decade) every night after dinner has resulted in my children learning all the prayers: Apostles Creed, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima prayer, Hail Holy Queen, Rosary prayer and Invocations to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. They are learning the St. Gertrude prayer. I set my phone alarm for the Angelus and say a Hail Mary when it rings. Today the kids heard it and, on their own, prayed Hail Mary, Hail Holy Queen and the Rosary prayer. When these simple, little things I try to help my kids and myself grow in holiness work, I can't help but to be amazed.

  1. Congratulations on #1!! WOW! I so wish that could be me. But you're inspiring me.

#2. WOW! My husband tried to wake me up at SEVEN this morning (not 6, but 7) to go do a lap or two at the track and I rolled over and went back to sleep. You amaze me.

#3. WOW!!! What a beautiful routine.

What a glorious week. Thanks so much for sharing.

  2. Thanks for reading my blog, Farmer's City Wife. It's so nice to know someone is reading it! Yep, it's a challenge getting up, but it's getting easier, esp. when I see a little progress.

  3. Great List! I wish it were mine!

I'm totally impressed by your early rise to exercise. I get up early but my exercise has no vigor at that hour. Maybe I just need to try harder so that your number 1 can be on my list soon.

You've given me some great ideas with number 3!

    THANKS

  4. I read your blog!!! :) Congratulations on #1! That's great! #2&3 are both awesome too! Brandon runs every morning at 5:30am and I never even know he leaves! haha I've tried the whole morning thing and I just don't ever get as good a workout in as I do in the afternoons. So my kids "always" have computer or tv time for an hr in the afternoons while I workout - great mom, huh?! lol!

  5. It's near impossible not to get a good workout with P90X. Tony is a great motivator. I doubted my ability to "bring it" that early, but it's gotten better and better over these last few weeks.

Christi, I know you read my blog. I love ya!
